Kenyazero Do we need to look back at the book chain game and report from that? 2mo
Faranae I'm only just emerging from Octocon, so I'll have to skip the point check in. But I'm alive now and will be reading the rest of the month! 2mo
BookwormAHN @Kenyazero No you can add that in next time 2mo

LeahBergen I read it in junior high and was OBSESSED. 😂😂 2mo
Eggs Good fit for the prompt👏🏻👏🏻 2mo
Jeg I can remember when it first came out. Being me I don‘t remember exactly what it was about but I do remember I loved this book and the ones that followed. I wonder what I would think now? 2mo
Teresereading @jeg I probably read it a decade too late, uber gothic. But there are some storylines that don‘t hold up to modern sensibilities…. 2mo

I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it.

Mehso-so

This was something. Between the almost incest, attempted SA, extortion, and just plain entitlement of some the characters, I was not feeling it. This was my first V.C. Andrews. I‘m not saying it will be the last, but I‘m not coming back soon. #Bookspin

Updated: I was a little curious about what happened next, so I looked up a summary. It‘s a no for me.

Soubhiville I don‘t know if this is one of the author‘s books I read as a teen, but that sounds right on track for her. I‘d say if this didn‘t appeal to you, you‘d be safe to just skip all her others. 11mo
Jadams89 @Soubhiville Thanks for the tip! I‘m not sure if I just wasn‘t in the right mood for it - I have one more on my shelf, so I may try again later this year. 11mo
TheAromaofBooks Sometimes a book just isn't a good match. 11mo
TheUrbanReader I completely agree! I felt as though this book was throwing out anything to keep the reader going. At every turn there is something new without much development, detail or room for growth. Whilst the way the book was wrote allowed me to finish the book, I genuinely found it very surface level and random 11mo

Pickpick

“Flowers in the Attic“ is a dark and unforgettable novel that explores the depths of human depravity and the resilience of the human spirit. While it is a work of fiction, it raises important questions about family, loyalty, and the corrupting influence of greed. The novel's enduring power lies in its ability to create a chilling and unsettling experience that remains with the reader long after the story concludes...

ImperfectCJ Poltergeist (and apologies for not turning in 1st half points...I'm having trouble keeping track of points, but I'll try to retroactively log them and report the full amount at the end of the month) 1y
BookwormAHN @ImperfectCJ No worries 🐈‍⬛ 1y
AnnCrystal Didn't add my entries here to my totals on today's posts...I will add to my next post.

Also, we're starting over from point check-in, right? Start adding from 0, not continuing to add onto the 450 points from my first half points? Or should I continue posting both totals??

Thanks ☺️👍💝.

AnnCrystal Oops, here is a word association entry:

Haunting 👻.

BookwormAHN @AnnCrystal You can do it either way. At the of the month you can either give me your full total or your total for this half. I'll add everyone's together 1st half and 2nd half for our complete total 🐈‍⬛ 1y
AnnCrystal Thanks 💕🐈‍⬛ @BookwormAHN perfect ☺️👍💝. 1y
