This book was so much fun! I‘m a sucker for a ship‘s tale and the mystery and treachery was a lot of fun. There was a current of high tension running throughout this book, which kept the tone consistent and the story moving. I look forward to the next one.

I‘m going to continue with Brigid Kemmerer‘s Defend the Dawn, Book #2 in the Defy the Night Series. Apparently Goodreads says there is another one on the way, but this will complete what I have now. Love me some Brigid Kemmerer!! #BacklistReadathon

I absolutely love this series! Maybe not the best but there's just something about the story pulling me into their world.

I finished this a lot faster than I thought I would. It was pretty good but I wish the last book was out because this book ends in a cliffhanger.

Tonight I start the sequel

The sequel to Defy the Night, in it we carry on with the story of Tessa, Corrick and King Harristan. Tessa and Corrick embark on a ship to Ostriary, hopefully to get the Moonflowers they need to cure the sickness. But all is not what it seems, secrets, adventures and romance.

This was the most exciting book I've read all year. I am completely invested in these characters and stayed up way too late to finish this. The last 100 pages are intense, the next book can't come soon enough.

I have loved all of Brigid Kenmerer‘s book and this one was just as good as the others. I love Tessa & Corrick and was excited to spend some more time in their world. I had a jaw dropping moment at a big reveal in the book. I wish the next book in this series was coming out tomorrow. It sucks to wait to see what happens next.
