Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker must stem the tide of the raging Clone Wars and forge a new bond as Jedi Knights. The Clone Wars have begun. Battle lines are being drawn throughout the galaxy. With every world that joins the Separatists, the peace guarded by the Jedi Order is slipping through their fingers. After an explosion devastates Cato Neimoidia, the jewel of the Trade Federation, the Republic is blamed and the fragile neutrality of the planet is threatened. The Jedi dispatch Obi-Wan Kenobi, one of the Order's most gifted diplomatic minds, to investigate the crime and maintain the balance that has begun to dangerously shift. As Obi-Wan investigates with the help of a heroic Neimoidian guard, he finds himself working against the Separatists who hope to draw the planet into their conspiracy-and senses the sinister hand of Asajj Ventress in the mists that cloak the planet. Amid the brewing chaos, Anakin Skywalker rises to the rank of Jedi Knight. Despite the mandate that Obi-Wan travel alone-and his former master's insistence that he listen this time-Anakin's headstrong determination means nothing can stop him from crashing the party, and bringing along a promising but conflicted youngling. Once a Padawan to Obi-Wan, Anakin now finds himself on equal-but uncertain-footing with the man who raised him. The lingering friction between them increases the danger for everyone around them. The two knights must learn a new way to work together-and they must learn quickly, to save Cato Neimoidia and its people from the fires of war. To overcome the threat they face they must grow beyond master and apprentice. They must stand together as brothers.

I‘m reading all these books out of order meaning= I spoiling myself ☺️But I don‘t care, the stories are so good that I can deal with the spoilers. In this book there is a secret marriage that I know I will read in a book later how they fell in love😳🤣This book is full of action: a “neutral” city was invaded and The Republic is one of the suspects of these sabotages. I love to see Obi Wan Kanobi and Yoda. The audiobook was great 4⭐️

I'm always one for a good Anakin story. It has some kind of melchanoly, at least to me. And this one does an excellent job. I love how Chen portrayed the relationship between Anakin and Obi-Wan and Anakin and Mill Alibeth. Oh, how I came to love Mill. We need more Mill. I'd totally read more books with her. A story where she meets Ahsoka maybe?

In this book, set after Episode II Attack of The Clones, Anakin is now a Jedi and Obi-Wan is on the Jedi Council. The two are trying to work separately. Obi-Wan is sent to investigate a bombing on Cato Neimoidia and Anakin has his hands full with a bunch of younglings.

repost for @BookwormAHN:

How did everyone like Mission to Disaster? I enjoyed it, especially the ice gators.
Now it's time to leave the High Republic for awhile and head to the prequel era with Obi-Wan and Anakin. I'm really excited about this one especially since watching the Obi-Wan Kenobi series.

As always if anyone wants to be added or removed just let me know. And May the Force Be With You 💙

"Perhaps that was why they were meant for each other. Anakin acted like a fiery burst against injustice while Padme brought a relentlessness to any situation, a constant search for a solution even in the most dire of circumstances. Passion and purpose, locked together forever in a delicate balance."

I love this book so much! I really appreciate when SW authors take the time to flesh out Anakin and Padme's relationship more! ❤️

"A memory fluttered through Obi-Wan's mind, an exchange with his former Master he hadn't thought of in nearly a decade. 'Don't center on your anxieties.' Obi-Wan exhaled and felt the ground beneath his feet, returning to the here and now "

It is a truth universally acknowledged that if Qui-Gon Jinn is mentioned in a story I will immediately burst into tears! ? He is my favorite Jedi! And in my top three favorite Star Wars characters! ?

Fulfilling a writing dream, Mike Chen wrote a Star War…and it‘s a good one. Set after Attack of the Clones & just after Anakin has been knighted, Obi-Wan & his former padawan set off on different missions but , as is often the case, trouble has a way of finding them & they have to work together if they are going to avert a disaster. Definitely a fun read & one that will make watching Obi-Wan Kenobi all that much more poignant. (I‘m not ready.)

Finally! A morning warm and dry enough to sit outside on the patio and read. This is one of my favorite ways to start the day.
