pick3.5 out of 5 - it was a nice read. Very hallmark movie type of book and I think many of you will enjoy the mystery. There is a series and I am thinking about reading the series. I feel like this a fall season or beach day reading I will say the recipes at the end of the book is nice. I might try the apple turn overs. This is not a stand alone book. Current Bday read. Book #2 out of 7. This one is a little harder to read because I feel like it‘s a hallmark movie story line. Not a hallmark fan, but this a cute read so far.

panMeh. I didn‘t like the MC & the bold hashtags throughout were distracting. The mystery wrapped up too easily in the last 5% with too many loose threads.
The only part I liked was the dog, Baby (an English Mastiff).

pickThe perfect title. This story reads better if you consider it 'young woman moves to a small town and begins to make a life for herself' than if you consider it a murder mystery. But honestly, Baby the English Mastiff is 70% of why I kept reading. The book ends without solving/explaining much of the mystery, but series bait doesn't bother me when I'm happy to continue in this world of baking goodies and loving big dogs.☺️ Audiobook recommended.

pickWhat a great start to a series. I loved getting to know these characters and can't wait to read more about them. The mystery was a decent one, though it was pretty obvious who committed the crimes and why. I think this book was mostly just to establish the setting and the characters. It was a cute, cozy mystery that has a lot of potential to get better and better as it goes on.
