Be one of the first to read this sneak preview sample edition of this delectable new cozy mystery series. Social media maven Maddy Montgomerys perfectly grammable life has come undone, and shes #StartingOver in a tiny town with one giant problema killer on the loose . . . When Maddy Montgomerys groom is a no-show to their livestream wedding, its a disaster that no amount of filtering can fix. But a surprise inheritance offers a chance to regroup and rebrandas long as Maddy is willing to live in her late, great-aunt Octavias house in New Bison, Michigan, for a year, running her bakery and caring for a 250-pound English mastiff named Baby. Maddy doesnt bake, and her Louboutins arent made for walking giant dogs around Lake Michigan, but the locals are friendly and the scenery is beautiful. With help from her aunts loyal friends, aka the Baker Street Irregulars, Maddy feels ready to tackle any challenge, including Octavias award-winning cake recipes. That is, until New Bisons mayor is fatally stabbed, and Maddys fingerprints are found on the knife . . . Something strange is going on in New Bison. It seems Aunt Octavia had her suspicions, too. But Maddys going to need a whole lot more than a trending hashtag to save her reputationand her life.

The perfect title. This story reads better if you consider it 'young woman moves to a small town and begins to make a life for herself' than if you consider it a murder mystery. But honestly, Baby the English Mastiff is 70% of why I kept reading. The book ends without solving/explaining much of the mystery, but series bait doesn't bother me when I'm happy to continue in this world of baking goodies and loving big dogs.☺️ Audiobook recommended.

What a great start to a series. I loved getting to know these characters and can't wait to read more about them. The mystery was a decent one, though it was pretty obvious who committed the crimes and why. I think this book was mostly just to establish the setting and the characters. It was a cute, cozy mystery that has a lot of potential to get better and better as it goes on.

Fun new cozy mystery series. It started a little slow, and I really didn‘t like the MC very much, but the story grew stronger and the character is now one I look forward to seeing again.

Ms. Burns has set this series off to a wonderful start with Two Parts Sugar, One Part Murder. She has found the perfect recipe for what I hope is a long-running series.
