What a story! I never knew what was going to happen next. It started all pretty innocently and as expected from a Star Wars YA book. But you know - Justina Ireland is involved, so it has to be good. And the more I got into the book, the deeper the story got. At the end was baffled and maybe forgot to breath every now and then. I'm still shivering.

I really enjoyed this book, although the ending almost killed me. So this one is about the very start of the Nihil. They began as a force cult called The Path of the Open Hand on Dalma. The Jedi Master Zallah Macri and her Padawan Kevmo Zink are called there to investigate the theft of some Jedi artifacts. There, Kevmo meets and connects with Marda Ro, one of the members of the Path 🖤

In August, we reentered The High Republic in Quest For the Hidden City, set years before the last set of High Republic books. There, we met Silandro Sho & her Apprentice Rooper. I enjoyed it. What did y'all think? Next up, for September is Path of Deceit, we head to Dalna. Jedi vs. cult, anyone? As always, if anyone wants to be added or removed, just let me know. And May the Force Be With You Always 🚀

So Phase 2 starts fast & does not let up until 😮!!! I read the book…and then I had to read parts of it again because wow, no they didn‘t…yes they did…I can‘t even…what the what…more please. Star Wars is at its best when the stakes are high, (& believable), consequences are real, there‘s good AND bad, we get to know & care about the characters, & this book has all that & more. Fanaticism, found family, the Force, danger, & adventure. I loved it.
The next wave of High Republic books is officially here! Love that we are going back in time and excited to see what this phase has in store for us.
