This book fits in the writing instruction category, but as a reader I found it fascinating to learn how this author writes this particular type of scene. It's taken from workshops she gives to writers, so has a chatty approach. Very quick and enjoyable. Plus, there's a full list of every Outlander sex scene by book and page. In case you've wondered! 😜

If Diana Gabaldon wants to teach me something, I'm all for it! While her Outlander series has been said to have a lot of sex scenes, I've always felt that they were tastefully done. This work was a very interesting read. I learned a lot and had a few laughs as well. This isn't like Gabaldon's fiction novels. This is like she is talking directly to you; her dry wit and humour is throughout, making it very enjoyable while educational.

I'm not an author. Even though the blurb says "for authors" I'm SO curious to read this. I've read enough sex scenes over the years, that's for sure.

My fourth book purchase today. Thinking my "ban on buying books" is impossible!
