This was good to read after reading all 3 of the Good Girl books first. Pip and friends are at a murder mystery party - this leads Pip to the idea of investigating a real murder for her senior project (the first Good Girl book) - It was interesting to read a story about Pip's closest friends knowing how it all turned out for everyone - I thought this was a good book to end the series on. I'm glad I read it that way!
Make a great day everyone🙂

This is a prequel novella to A Good Girl‘s Guide to Murder. If I had read this one first, I PROBABLY would NOT have gone in to read the first book in the series.

The premise of the story is that a group of friends are playing a murder mystery game. While I understand it is a YA book, and a novella I felt that the plot was just not fully there. It was just about teens playing a game.

TheSpineView Bummer! Hopefully the next book you read is better! 7mo
MissyD @TheSpineView I almost DNF it. But it was only 126 pages. So I just kept reading. I liked the book that followed this one. And I started Holly by Stephen king today 7mo

A fun whodunit, as Pip and her friends gather for a night of murder mystery and sub-par take out pizza. For fans of Jackson's AGGGTM, this is the prequel that tells the reader how Pip chose her topic for the senior capstone project, complete with foreshadowing that only true fans of the series will catch.

LiteraryinLawrence How creative! 8mo
MyNamesParadise I bought this but never got around to reading it! I‘ll have to get to it! 8mo

⭐️⭐️⭐️ If like me, you read, and loved, this series, you should definitely grab this fun novella that sets up Pippa‘s interest in the Andie Bell case. However, if you haven‘t read the series, I wouldn‘t think it necessary to start here. Still begin with A Good Girl‘s Guide to Murder. #prequel

CaramelLunacy This was so fun, but definitely agree this isn't the place to start. 10mo

A fun, short book to end the month with! This was low stakes with a twisty murder mystery party for the group of teenagers we meet in the Good Girls Guide to Murder series (at least the first book…that‘s the only one I‘ve read). I found the ending kind of aggravating, but I did enjoy how it leads into the first book in the series. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

A prequel novella. I was torn between So-So & a soft Pick. I loved the A Good Girl‘s Guide to Murder series & its characters. I just didn‘t love this “introduction” to the series or the way a few of the characters came off.

Kill Joy is up next. It‘s a library borrow so it‘s been moved up the list. It‘s due back & I haven‘t started it. Thankfully, it‘s a novella so it‘ll be done today.

Also by Holly Jackson Kill joy is a short novella and is like a prequel to A Good Girls Guide to Murder. I do not recommend reading it first. I would rate it a 4.5/5

My library hold for this came in today. I‘ve seen mixed reviews on here & other places. I probably won‘t get to it until the weekend. #SeriesLove2023

This is purportedly a prequel to Good Girls‘ Guide to Murder, in which partiers become suspects in an intricate murder mystery and determine the murderer. It was hard to follow the group of characters, the rules, the hints - but that could have been just me.

This was a cute little prequel novella to go along with the Good Girls Guide to Murder. I love a good murder mystery party and would have enjoyed the scenario played out in the book. #11-2023

This printed novella is a prequel of sorts for the series A Good Girls Guide to Murder which just so happens to have been a series I inhaled. This is a super quick read and if you haven't read the above mentioned series this is a great introduction to it.
