Billypar Part of me gets it, likes that the mother is one thing to the child and another in reality, and that is a situation that parents probably face on a routine basis. Something that humbles them, and maybe makes them strive to improve themselves for the sake of their children.... But..... another part is like...'she drowns kittens?! What kind of psychopath is raising this child? Someone call child protective services!' 😮 6y

merelybookish @Billypar Haha. Maybe they are metaphorical kittens? ☺️ Although I had rabbits growing up and their "disappearance" was very sketchy. Basically parents end up doing shitty things. 6y

Billypar @merelybookish @saresmoore Initially I was thinking the shitty things were incidental to being a parent but it's a scarier idea if they are as a consequence. Like, 'it wasn't until I had kids that I started drowning kittens and cooking rabbits'. But in this example you still have the wherewithal to keep the craziness your kids elicited a secret from them for their own moral development 🤔 6y
