Prepare yourself for a thrilling, addictive novel about marriage, betrayal, and the secrets that push us to the edge in this latest book from the bestselling author of The Good Sister and The Younger Wife. Picture a lovely cottage on a cliff, with sloping lawns, walking paths, and beautiful flowers. It's Gabe and Pippa Gerard's dream home in a sleepy coastal town. But their perfect house hides something sinister. The tall cliffs have become a popular spot for people to end their lives. Over the past several months, Gabe comes to their rescue, literally talking them off the ledge. Until one day, he doesn't. When Pippa discovers Gabe knew the victim, the questions spiral. . . .Did the victim jump? Was she pushed? And would Gabe, the love of Pippa's life, her soulmate . . . lie? As the perfect faade of their marriage begins to crack, the deepest and darkest secrets begin to unravel. Because sometimes, the most convincing lies are the ones we tell ourselves.

So I just let the ADHD hyper focus take me away today 😂😅 got pretty far in the Lego house, made all sorts of doodads -my fave is the vacuum
Speaking of, the mental health rep in this book is done really well, not in a way that I liked it but in a way that was realistic. Totally bingeable. I‘m usually such a man-hater but the wife was making me nuts in this one. Would make a good book club book.

wanderinglynn Awesome! Love legos ❤️ 6mo
bthegood My niece got me a Lego Dobbie for Christmas last year - I had not really done them before - loved it - easy to get hooked! Your house looks great - and the vacuum is fantastic🧹 6mo

I really enjoyed this book. A quick page turner that had some good twists and took me away from my bad day at work. Pippa and Gabe own a home near a popular suicide spot where Gabe is always the hero talking people off the ledge until one unfortunate night. Pippas husband runs to the rescue of another poor soul but this time he does not save her and Pippa‘s unsure if she didn‘t just witness her husband pushing the woman off the ledge.

A decent domestic thriller. They are not my favorite but this one kept me turning the page. Gabe and Pippa buy a house on a cliff. Unfortunately it is a place where people come to end their lives. Gabe is usually able to stop them except for this one time. Pippa looks out as the woman falls and Gabe looks suspicious. Now she is questioning everything she saw, her husband and their marriage. 3.5 stars. Triggers for suicide.

EadieB As the perfect facade of their marriage begins to crack, the deepest and darkest secrets begin to unravel. This is a fast-paced entertaining novel with twists and turns that kept me reading to the very ending. It is a character-driven book with alternating chapters with POV from Pippa and Amanda. I like Hepworth's writing and would definitely read another book by her. 2y
EadieB If you like intriguing domestic thrillers then you would love this book. I would like to thank NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for a copy for an honest review. 2y
