Not impressed, kind of a dud really. I found the book lagging at times and honestly was looking forward to completing the novel so I could move on to my next read. The beginning was engaging but the remainder of the novel was a bore but not bad enough to bail. Had I not already bought a few other Christie novels, this would have been a last for me but I suppose she will get a second chance. 6/10

My Secret Santa truly gets me. 😊 she even but in the time for a well acquainted gag gift up on top. Maybe I should read it to prove a point 🤣

I just watched this & it was great! Well cast & filled with some frightening scenes & funny dialogue. I can see why they renamed it since it was more of a retelling than an adaptation. The writers essentially told an entirely new Poirot mystery riffing off a few key details from the original Hallowe‘en Party. Which leaves me super confused as to why the novel was rereleased with the new title & movie tie in cover at all…? #scarathlon #skeletoncrew

I‘ve seen the other two Poirot movies with Branagh, so I‘m excited to watch this one!

Finished this late last night.
It was not my favorite Agatha Christie book but it was still engaging. I had fun reading about how the British celebrate Halloween but I did not enjoy the ranting as much in this book. There was a lot of commentary about children being killed and about releasing insane people that I felt kind of insensitive, but hey, it is the time period. 3 ⭐️

My husband and I recently saw this in theaters! It was so so good! I haven't read this book so I can't speak to if it “hold up“ but... I can tell you I really enjoyed watching it!
