Skeleton Man

so-so

This was written for kids but I‘d be loathe to recommend it to an actual child. The writing wasn‘t tense, but the subject matter seems nightmare inducing. It‘s an ancient Native American legend retold as the modern story of a girl whose parents go missing and the man claiming to be her uncle who takes her in. I also didn‘t love the audio narrator.

My 6th grade book club is just a few chapters away from finishing our first book (they are loving it!) so I‘m starting to preview some options for our next book. Since I have a MW group and a TTh group, I think I‘m going to choose 2 different books this time - mostly so I don‘t have to keep reading everything twice

Great book to get ready for the spooky season. An easy 1 day read for those who love a quick scary mystery story. Would recommend if you have just finished. Great plot line easy to follow 👍

I didn‘t want to start anything today that I couldn‘t finish before midnight. 😃 So I pulled this little book for middle readers off the shelf. How in hell did it get there? I have no idea. I don‘t recall buying it. Sometimes I think my shelves spontaneously generate books. Good for them! This was a great little spooky story, well, if simply told. I‘d recommend this to any young readers in my life.
