👏🏻
There's a lot here that I loved, but the book was clearly developed towards an ending that didn't quite land for me. Or maybe it was simply a bit sadder than I wanted it to be?
I love the idea of a luxury hotel in space that is truly a haven for a misfit staff. 1/?
Oooh, new fave adjective + onomatopoeia combo. Little bit steampunk.
Current reads colourway. A little purple, a little blue, a little sci-fi, a little fantasy(reread). 🥰💜💙
I tried to gel with this book, but it didn't work. Due to each chapter being from a different character's POV, it was hard to follow the underlying plot of the story. The many POV were supposed to give the story a found family vibe, but I was never convinced of it. All in all, it seemed more like a collection of short stories that are interconnected than a novel with a thriller-ish plot and fully fleshed-out characters.

Lovely, engaging, cozy sci-fi populated with wonderful characters. The ending was less than satisfying, but spending time with the staff and guests of the Grand Abeona was well worth the time.
I am loving everything about this book! I'm desperately going to need more cozy sci-fi in my life!
42/150 At first, I didn't see how the various character vignettes were going to come together as a story, but as things progressed, the pasts of the staff of the Grand Abeona Hotel and their guests began to intertwine and create a rich tapestry. The ending left me wanting more of these characters, so I hope the author plans to write more books in this universe 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
