2.5⭐
• a novel told in reverse • murder mystery • domestic thriller • dual POV (I think) •

This is one book where reading the synopsis/reviews beforehand will end up working in your favor. I spent way too much of this book not realizing that it was being told in reverse. But honestly, telling a story in reverse is just weird. Then there are the characters, talk about unlikable, jeez. Also, this couple has the worst marriage ever.

Loved the unique storytelling: a mystery told in reverse. Plenty of twists (especially the last one) kept me glued to every page. Only downside was every character was pretty unlikable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

I thought this was a unique way to tell a story — chronologically in reverse — but I was a little underwhelmed by it as a whole. The ending, which I imagine is supposed to be a shock or reveal, wasn‘t surprising to me. The characters are unlikable, and I do love a good unlikable character, but I wish they would have been fleshed out and not so two-dimensional.

⭐️⭐️💫

I hadn‘t touched the book in a month. I picked it back up today and finished it. It‘s not a 5 star- it‘s a bit drawn out - but it is a really good book. The ending… chef‘s kiss!

I haven‘t touched this book in 4 weeks. It‘s not because I don‘t like it. I think I‘m punishing myself since my husband passed away. I read 150 books last year; this year I‘ve read 5 so far. It‘s like if I would‘ve spent more time with him instead of reading. We were always in the same room, but…I don‘t know.
