Just started the latest book in the Lucas Davenport‘s series, which is a review copy of the audiobook. Looking forward to this one.

Well, that was fun! I inhaled this, the newest Davenport book, in a week.
Did end on a bit of an open question, though, so definitely intrigued to see what happens in (hopefully) the next book.
Overall, this is a great mystery series and another great installment. Just what I needed after being in medieval England/Normandy for 3 months!
After what kind of felt like a couple of missteps by Sandford in his long running series about Lucas Davenport, he seems to have gotten in tune with things again. I‘m still not sold on his new “voice of Lucas Davenport”, Robert Petkoff, his delivery seems cutoff to tension and drama of scenes. 4 ⭐️
Lucas Davenport and Virgil Flowers team up again for a twisty game of cat-and-mouse with a serial killer. It's fast paced and cleverly plotted, but the ending felt like no ending at all (I read elsewhere that another ARC reader thinks a final chapter was left out of the ARC, so I'll reserve judgment on that.) 4 of 5 stars.

Nine o'clock, a dazzling moon outside the window, a shrill whistle for a werewolf.

Getting started on this one. This is #35 (!) in the Lucas Davenport series, and the books have been consistently good; not always the case with a long running series. Publication date 3/25/25.
