bailedNope. Too bored. Took too long for someone to die and none of the characters are particularly compelling. I called it quits around the halfway point and the game hadn‘t even started yet and I thought it was supposed to be the main focus of the story! Hard pass.
bailedListened to 19% of this one. Just do not care to hear a story about any kind of “influencer” doing anything. Just an increasing amount of vapid people doing dumb shit.
I‘ve never read Lisa Unger, so if you‘re a big fan, please drop me some of your top recommendations. I‘d still like to give her a try.
so-soThis book was okay. I wish the audio had a whole cast narrating the different characters bc there were a lot of them. I don‘t think it warranted the lower rating on Goodreads but could see why it was like that. I didn‘t think the character development was great as there were so many characters. It got more interesting at times but I never felt fully invested. I‘m also sick of thrillers that take place on isolated islands.

so-soWhile this was an ok mystery, there were just too many varying characters and storylines to keep up with as an audiobook. I kept getting pulled out of the story by trying to figure out what was really going on. I did read all the way to the end, however, so the overall story did hold my general attention. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
