Aside from reading, it's theatre and travel that are constantly vying for my favorite #hobby. I wish I could do more of both, but Broadway ticket prices have gotten out of control over the past decade. That usually means that if I'm trying to plan a big trip, I have to be content with local theatre and national tours for awhile. And hey, those are great, too! #SelfImprovementSept

Can‘t wait to watch the Tony Awards tonight... theatre feeds my soul in a way I just can describe!!
Got my wine, my book for commercials and am ready for the Tony Awards!!! (I am thinking of you @JenReadsAlot while I drink my moonlight!)
I‘m really lucky to be so close to a city with such a thriving arts community; I‘m also so excited to see Deborah Cox in this role, fourteen years after I was lucky enough to see her as Aida on Broadway in the closing cast of “Aida” opposite Adam Pascal. This has nothing to do with books, but next to books, the theater is my other great love. 💖✨
Curled up with my book and the tony awards ... Sounds like a perfect Sunday night to me!!!
Don't shoot me, this isn't book related (I know, blasphemy!)
Anybody else Broadway obsessed like me? Having seen all four of the Tony nominees for Best Musical, I'm torn. Come From Away is my top pick (strongest overall ensemble and just brilliant in my opinion) but I also wouldn't be surprised at all if Dear Evan Hansen or Great Comet take it (I loved them both too!). I'd be SHOCKED if it's Groundhog Day though, I didn't care for it.
Thoughts?
This artwork from the book was one of the concepts the graphics folks came up with for Hamilton before settling on the iconic artwork we all know. This book is an in-depth look at how the advertising for Broadway shows is developed.
Spotted this at the Vets Auditorium Open House last week in Providence, RI and I ordered it for the library where I work the next day! (Can you tell I'm a Broadway fan?)
