The New Life | Tom Crewe

Pickpick

Loved the writing of this historical fiction novel set in 1894 during the Oscar Wilde trials. The sex is very explicit. I cared about the characters and found the debate about Homosexuality in the victorian era compelling. Great on audio. 4 🌟

squirrelbrain Glad you liked it - but it was a bit risqué wasn‘t it? (Right from the first paragraph!) 1y
rmaclean4 @squirrelbrain shockingly blunt. Some think it will be up for The Booker so I wanted to read it. 1y
