The Pritzker Military Museum and Library is in Chicago in a historic building on Michigan Ave. They do have an admission fee, but it is filled with books, rare books, and exhibits, and they hold events, sponsor a literature prize and host a tv show. If you're interested in military history, this is a great place to check out. #MayMontage #ArmedForcesDay @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks

#MayMontage #ArmedForcesDay Appreciate all who have served & are serving! One of the sad things about my mom struggling with her health, she had to give up helping the VFW & the American Legion. She donated time & money to their meals & fundraisers that usually benefited Veterans & the community.She loved doing it.Like many families , I have various family members who served in all the branches of the service.

Sharing two books today. All Quiet on the Western Front is a novel about the horrors of WW1 and the senselessness of the war. Beautifully written.
The other, The Things They Carried, is on my TBR.
