so-soA … memoir? self-help book? Advice column? … by a woman with 4 children who are serving in the U.S. military (all branches – the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines). As the mother of a commissioned Marine officer and helicopter pilot, I can appreciate the sentiments expressed in this book. As an editor by education and training for the past 25 years, however, I cringed at the amount of repetition throughout the chapters.

My daughter is two and a half weeks into her Army journey; I might be ready to read this now 😅

so-soNot quite what I expected but a good “you can do this” bolster for those who have kids in the military. It seemed a little boastful about her super successful kids but overall and fast read.
Next up. I‘m nervous; our son is on rotation out of the country and I‘m afraid this is going to make me sad.

Our son shipped out to Army bootcamp Sept 11 and I dint know if I‘ve cried so much in my life. I just learned about this book from a Facebook page from the base. This is my next read after everything I have to read.
