pickI actually finished listening to this one yesterday! I love Chamberlain‘s books, but this older title isn‘t my favorite one of hers. I just had a hard time liking the characters- but it still captured my attention from start to finish. And it‘s one that has been on my TBR for a while! 📘Started “Da Vinci‘s Tiger” today, currently on chapter 3
🎧I followed @Cinfhen‘s advice and started an audiobook. I usually have a hard time getting into audiobooks, but “All-American Muslim Girl” pulled me in from the first chapter. I‘ve been listening while cleaning, #audiocoloring and catching up on Stardew Valley. (Is #audiogaming a thing?) I‘m currently at 49%.
panWell I wanted to like this one... but I‘m not too surprised that I didn‘t since comic bookish heroes and villains aren‘t really my thing. But I have read a few exceptions to that, so I was willing to give this a try. Between clueless parents and not enough world building and an oversized cast of characters, I struggled to connect with any of the characters despite the action-packed plot! #AudioColoring

pickWow!! I have loved Chamberlain‘s writing for years, but I have been trying to repress my binge-reading ways by going through her extensive backlog since my 2013 discovery of her more slowly... This one, last year‘s release, totally blew me away!! It‘s a different direction in some ways and had me totally hooked! I certainly didn‘t plan on listening to this whole book in a day!! But I loved it!! I laughed; I cried... wonderful!! #Audiocoloring
pickI chose this #NonFiction book about the Thula Thula game reserve in #SouthAfrica for this month‘s #ReadAroundTheWorldChallenge. While the introduction and rehabilitation of a group of elephants is the focus here- all kinds of other wildlife is included as well as some of the social and political pressures involved with the reserve. This is fascinating- but I definitely didn‘t plan on sobbing through the end on my #AudioColoring!
pickThis one was probably a mix between a pick and so-so for me... I listened to it, but I‘m sure this novella is #Under200Pages. If you are skeeved out by rats, skip this one! If rats don‘t bother you, then it may not be the creepiest King story... I hear there‘s a film adaptation so I may check that out next time I am home alone!! #GratefulReads #AudioColoring
so-soI think I had too high of expectations for this one... I was looking for a creepy audiobook for some October chills, and though this was certainly entertaining from start to finish, the plot‘s a bit predictable and I never felt frightened...
