I liked this book much better than In My Dreams I Hold a Knife. Even though I had a feeling about the villain, I was still kept guessing. Jane‘s decision at the very end really surprised me, but it made sense. Since I finished this early in my #audiowalk, I continued with Eloquent Rage, which I‘ve been listening to for #SheSaid.

Some of Jane‘s decisions here are really questionable, and she knows it since she doesn‘t tell anyone until the thing is done or it‘s too late to change course. Beautiful day. #audiowalk

After a few days of rain, thunderstorms, and flooding, we finally had a beautiful day today. Sun, a nice breeze — if a little cold. I was comfortable in long pants. I haven‘t decided if I like the characters in this book yet, but I can empathize with them, so that‘s enough. #audiowalk

My husband was with me today, so we listened to this. I love that Wil Wheaton narrates Scalzi‘s books; he‘s so good! The ridiculous premise here is that the moon has suddenly turned into cheese; shenanigans and conspiracy theories ensue. #audiowalk

Ok, I read In My Dreams I Hold a Knife because I liked the title. I didn‘t love it, but I didn‘t hate it either, so, again, because I like the title to her new book, I‘ve decided to listen to it for my #audiowalk. I hope I like it better than her first one.

TheLudicReader I loved the title of her first book, too, but also didn‘t love it. It showed promise, though, so I bought her next one, The Last Housewife, and really liked it and I loved the next one, Midnight is the Darkest Hour, and so I have high hopes for this one. 5d
KathyWheeler @TheLudicReader Good to hear that the other books were good. I haven‘t read them. 4d

Oh, for Pete‘s sake, Ellie; stop pining for James‘ body and pay attention to the fact that someone out there probably wants to kill you! Right now, I‘d be okay with that. Two hours left; time to choose a new #audiowalk book.

lauraisntwilder One of these days, we're going to be walking on campus at the same time, but we'll both be listening to books and never know it! 😄 1w

I didn‘t get to walk yesterday because it poured down rain all day. Today, it rained only in the morning, so I was able to get back to my #audiowalk book. With 4 hours left, I hope something interesting happens soon.

This is the longest it‘s taken me to decide if I like a St. James book — I still don‘t know. Got a decent walk in even though I was afraid every second that it would rain. #audiowalk

I like St. James‘ contemporary stories and I liked the one I read that was set in the past, just not as much. The Other Side of Midnight is another one set in the past — 1920s — and it hasn‘t grabbed me as quickly as her more modern ones do, but we‘ll see. #audiowalk

I ended up quite liking this even though we have a bit less of our main characters than in The Spy Coast. The Summer Guests is a smaller tale in terms of scope , but it‘s well-told and keeps you wondering if you‘re right about the solution. #audiowalk
