It‘s been a long time since I read this; my copy has the original white cover with fire partially covering a little girl‘s face. As with most King books for #LosersClub, if I‘ve read it in print before, I‘m using the audio for this reread. So far I‘m liking the narrator. #audiowalk

Pickpick

I didn‘t see much point to Natalie in Killers of a Certain Age, and I still don‘t see much point to her. It‘s as if Raybourn decided 4 would be better than 3, but she didn‘t know what to do with the 4th person. I still liked this book though. #audiowalk

JamieArc I heard someone mention that they wish this series had each book have a different character as the narrator and I agree. 23h
KathyWheeler @JamieArc Yes! I do too. 12h

Billie is being a little bit ridiculous. Her boyfriend is also a former assassin, but she wants to protect him like he‘s a delicate little flower. Long and quite warm #audiowalk today.

I loved Killers of a Certain Age, so I‘m happy to be listening to its sequel as my new #audiowalk book. So far, I‘m enjoying it. Today‘s walk was partly indoors and partly outdoors — the indoors is the big red clump on the map.

Pickpick

This was a fun book. Like its predecessor, it has Annie dealing with and trying to solve events that happened in her great aunt‘s early life. There was a lovely breeze today, making my walk lovely. You can‘t see it well, but the 2nd row left is some Pride chalk art in the park. #audiowalk

Low end of pick scale. I wanted to like this more than I did, but I could never get invested in the lives of any of the characters. Cassie is whiny and mopey; Zoe and Cherry are manipulative and care only about themselves. Also, I know Cassie is fat — I do not need to be reminded of it a million times. Since I finished this less than halfway into my #audiowalk, I switched my nighttime book, How to Seal Your Own Fate, to my walking book.

KathyWheeler In case you‘re wondering if the bottom, left picture is a log — it‘s not. It‘s a pretty big alligator. 1w

Zoe is quite manipulative, and it appears that her daughter, Cherry, inherited that trait. Zoe finally stepped up to the plate for her daughter, so that was good. I‘ve got a little over an hour left, so I should finish tomorrow. #audiowalk

Every day, I get more enraged by something Zoe‘s done. Today, instead, I was annoyed with Cassie, Russell (Zoe‘s husband), and the band‘s managers as well. Lots of annoyance to go around. Usually, the gps doesn‘t track well inside, but it did today. My time for 3 miles was pretty much the same as outdoors. The map is a big, red, blob because I was on a track. #audiowalk

More Zoe anger. She has pretty much everything; she‘s beautiful and popular — yet she begrudges her sister, Cassie, the one thing Cassie has: her musical talent. Ugh. 😣 I didn‘t think I‘d get to walk outside because it‘s been raining most of the day, but I managed it. #audiowalk
