pickSuper fun and ridiculous. A good escape and holds up pretty well with women empowering themselves and standing up to some dastardly husbands. A good read-alike for fans of Rivals. I enjoyed it.
pickTo be honest, I wasn‘t thrilled that my book club selected this one for our next read, but most members wanted something light after our last challenging book. I had never read anything by this writer, so I didn‘t know what to expect, but I found that it was what my heavy heart needed! What a refreshingly humorous take on holidays, family, friends, and compulsive shopping! It won me over!

I love Polly, Huckle and the rest of the residents of this coastal town. Book 2 is also a “rolled” book this month so I‘ll be jumping in as soon as I finish my current read. That will set up book 3 (a Christmas story) in time for #WinterGames.

panI remember reading this one some 20 years ago and thinking it was ok with some good character dialogue but on this reread, I see how flawed and in some moments just unrealistic.
Not my favorite of Cruise's work as I don't reread this one often compared to the others but I always had a problem with the Nick, Bill, Quinn angle and some 20 yrs later, I have a definite answer for myself as to why.
