I don't know how Michael can deal with the immaturity. My goddddd.
"Sexy dance" was repeated so many times, it was reallystarting to hurt my eyes.
And Lilly just gets more and more selfish through each book. Please drop her Mia. I'm begging you.
I do enjoy JP's character. I hope he sticks around.

The Life List: A Novel | Lori Nelson Spielman

Pickpick

Last week I watched the adaption of this book on Netflix with a visiting sister. It was a fun romance and when I saw it was inspired by a book I immediately checked Libby and it was available after a short hold. I spent yesterday with the book and liked both - even the differences. Where the movie is a romance the book is more contemporary fiction (pub 2013). Had all aspects of the book been adapted it would require a limited series.

4th of the Rutshire Chronicles, and the weakest so far. I do struggle with novels that seem to accept domestic violence as a part of marriage, though given the relative age of this book, perhaps it helped bring it to the fore. But aside from that, the characters and plot were rather dull until our old favourite, Rupert Campbell Black, puts in an appearance.

TheSpineView Kudos for finishing this one despite it being lackluster. 2d

“Do you want a bite of my burger?”

“Why would I want a bite of your burger? I have my own.”

“Sorry, I‘m not used to having food all to myself.”

Every mother can relate!

☀️ Going to see a play tonight with my son, a classic!
☀️ My favorite tennis player (Jessie Pegula) won today and is going to the semi finals in the Charleston Open
☀️ The sun is shining!
☀️ Coffee. Always coffee. I fear soon it will be a luxury rather than a staple.
☀️ Library holds are in.

ChaoticMissAdventures I have really stocked up on the coffee. I hope it stays good... but either way when we have none even not very fresh beans will be good to have. 3d
Bookwormjillk Enjoy the play! 3d
LeslieO @ChaoticMissAdventures I think I‘ll stock up too. 3d

The Last Anniversary | Liane Moriarty

Mehso-so

Sophie always wondered if Thomas was the one. A year later he married, while Sophie has been single ever since. Now Thomas is back in her life because his aunt has given her house to Sophie, the house which has its own murder mystery going on.
Having read other titles by Liane, this one is definitely not my favorite. I have always liked the writing, but this one didn't hit the spot. The “big reveal“ was quite underwhelming. Easily skippable.
