I‘ve been reading P&P to the kiddo (she wasn‘t happy about it, but once we got to the proposals rolling in she admits it‘s interesting enough to continue), and I can‘t tell you how nice it is to have this kind of moment in a hectic week. Homeschool has its moments, for sure. #DannyBoy really hates the voices I do for Mr. Collins and Lady Catherine.
pickIt was great, ok? It‘s Ali Hazelwood, and very little of hers hasn‘t been fantastic for me. #DannyBoy is, as always, my reading companion, and particularly velcro-ey since we got home from our trip a few days ago.
I‘m trying to read the tagged because it‘s due back to the library and I‘ll be out of town for a week so I have to get it back later to finish, but then #DannyBoy said, “Mama, snuggles,” and put his paws in my hand 🥲

#DannyBoy has had it with our homeschool ridiculousness and wants us to be done for the week. The kiddo also wants us to be done for the week. Not coincidentally, the mama also wants to be done for the week, but our methods differ greatly. (I want her to finish corrections, she wants to ignore everything; Danny just wants us to shush)

I started this yesterday as my commute audiobook, and it turns out to be almost perfectly sized for it. I‘m only in the car for about 20 minutes at a time, which is about the length of most of the essays so far. I already highly recommend this one, too.
#DannyBoy for tax. He‘s not impressed with Mom working and gone for several hours every evening, so we get extra morning snuggles whenever we can.
pickDespite #DannyBoy‘s best efforts, and the weight of the real-world insanity, I finally finished this amazing book. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to understand what is happening and how we got here, although be cautioned that Russell Vought and Co seem to be using this as a how-to guide.
#DannyBoy has opinions about me reading, even when he chooses not to be on my lap. Apparently I‘m not getting this book back anytime soon.
