pickAudiobook pick: This is my second book from this author and I'm officially a fan. He is just really funny. The good thing about being late to the party in an author's popularity, is he has a lot of books out there. His books seem like they would translate well to movies and they are full of action and snarky/absurd humor.

For me, the year cannot truly end without Dave Barry's Year in Review. IMHO, his satire is, as always, spot-on.

After enjoying “Swamp Story” so much, I knew I wanted to try more of Dave Barry‘s work. It‘s wonderful to read books that make you really think and feel, but it‘s equally a gift to read a book that makes you laugh! This didn‘t quite capture the same magic for me as my first read of his, but the Floridian Hangover-esque story was definitely fun and entertaining!
pickI can always count on Dave Barry‘s books to make me laugh. In this one, a variety of characters converge for the major action on a casino boat which, naturally, goes awry. There‘s a fair amount of violence in this one and Barry‘s signature humor.
pickA dispute between a ref at a children‘s soccer game and one of the fathers turns into a battle between the two men which rapidly escalates hilariously into utterly ridiculous events that frankly had me laughing almost continuously. My mom says she hasn‘t laughed this much at a book in a long time. We both loved it!
