pick⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Memoir + Momofuku. Chang‘s narration is causal, smart, and at times, brash. It felt like watching an extended episode of Ugly Delicious. Among other profound points, he openly discusses mental health struggles, owning mistakes, and enduring cultural appropriation. I cried when he spoke of his friendship with Bourdain; the loss still so raw. The culinary world seems like another universe. Memoir builds empathy. It‘s why I love the genre.

britt_brooke @Megabooks Glad to know it‘s just as good in print, too! I got the hardcover for my husband for Christmas, but decided to borrow the audio from the library myself. I think he‘s going to like it. He‘s reading Pappyland now ... and thinks the author inserted himself into the story so much just for page count. He might be on to something. 😂 3y
