My days reread still as mind blowing as the first time #indigeniusliterature #diversity #DiverseAThon #amazingread
#amreading this brilliant book; Heart rending, and inspirational #reading, #DiverseAThon. What are you #reading today
An excellent collection of essays - fresh writing, highly readable. An important book if for no other reason than to open people's minds, remind us what a diverse world we live in but bring home that things like humour, wanting to connect, & the magic of a good haircut, are universal. But mostly just a great read! Varaidzo, miss L, Darren Chetty & Salena Godden were highlights. 👏🏼 #DiverseAThon
My next #DiverseAThon read. I'm loving it so far. Currently away with no kids = excellent reading time! 👯
Here's my #diverseathon round up for the week. I didn't get as many books as I wanted read but I'm not that worried about that's as what I did read was excellent and I'm devoted to reading #ownvoices all year anyway. I've loved looking at everyone else's posts and I'm glad I got to learn about new books and meet some new littens on here too. Can't wait for the next one!
Still need to finish the top one in the stack, but with that exception, here is my finished stack for #diverseathon.
Day 8: Wrap up- I'm calling my second #DiverseAThon the #BlackGirlMagic edition. I read five books: two memoirs, one romance, one YA, and one SFF, all written by black women.
Black girls can be the heroine, not the sassy sidekick. Black girls can be in love. Black girls have full, interesting, lives and are capable of telling complex stories with themselves at the center.
Ready to continue reading #ownvoices all year.
