I felt so seen reading this! I relate to so much of it, and even managed to find words for certain experiences I‘ve never been able to describe. From the discomfort of tights and dresses, and not liking them letting down our mothers to the let down and struggle of puberty. I know some people felt this book was disjointed and confusing. This is what the inside of my head is like, so this made total sense to me.

GingerAntics @Amiable I think this has been a long time coming. I‘ve read two books by trans and nonbinary folks this month and both brought out childhood memories I‘d long since buried. It feels good to brings those back out into the sunshine. 1mo

GingerAntics @TheBookHippie I‘ve been thinking of this as the moment the dream died! lol When he said this, it clicked so hard. I couldn‘t quite place when this happened, but he did perfectly. I knew the dream was dead, but I held on for another year until there was no other explanation. 1mo
