I‘ve read some great books so far this year! The tagged is in 1st place right now! I can‘t imagine that changing, but we will see!

I adored the tagged book. It‘s hard to read because of how horrific some of the abuse is, but she‘s a survivor and it shows in how she tells her story. She led me to The Power of Knitting, which made the list since I had nothing for June for this bracket, too.

This month I chose Faust! It was my first pick. My second for the month is The Satanic Verses and since I didn‘t have a book for June, Rushdie made it on the bracket, too.

I had to sleep overnight on making a decision, but I've chosen Brom's Slewfoot to move on over But Not Too Bold in my #readingbracket2025. It was a very difficult decision! But Not Too Bold holds a special place in my heart! #bookbracket2025#readingbracket #bookbracket
My favorite read of July was Hungerstone by Kat Dunn—a feminist reimagining of Carmilla, the novella that inspired Dracula. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but it couldn‘t top my May favorite, Not Too Bold by Hache Pueyo. That means Not Too Bold advances in my 2025 book bracket competition!

My top pick for June was The Hike by Drew Magary. #bookbracket2025 #readingbracket2025 #bookbracket #readingbracket
I‘m not sure where my head was yesterday when I posted my May book bracket pick — but I need to revise it! My top choice for May is “Not Too Bold“ by Hache Pueyo. It‘s a hauntingly beautiful story: original, unsettling, and deeply moving. At its core, it‘s about love — the kind that embraces someone completely, both because of and in spite of who they are...
