#BookBracket
I'm playing catch up. I read 8 books in July and 1 book in August because I was super busy. July's pick is Butcher and Blackbird. I didn't have a pick for August so I made it a wild card pick and put That's Not My Name in that spot.

Playing catch up. July's Spicy pick is Faking it with the Forward and I have no pick for August so it will be an extra wild pick for the year.

August had a few disappointing books for me, but there were a couple of gems. The tagged book was my favorite of the month.

This one kept me guessing. Even when I thought I knew what was up, even when I did, she had me questioning myself. #ReadingBracket #BookBracket2025 #BookBracket #fiction

I read a lot of great nonfiction this month. It was hard to pick just one… so I used both wildcard slots this month, too. #ReadingBracket #BookBracket2025 #BookBracket #nonfiction

I‘ve read some great books so far this year! The tagged is in 1st place right now! I can‘t imagine that changing, but we will see!

Uncultured: A Memoir | Daniella Mestyanek Young

I adored the tagged book. It‘s hard to read because of how horrific some of the abuse is, but she‘s a survivor and it shows in how she tells her story. She led me to The Power of Knitting, which made the list since I had nothing for June for this bracket, too.

This month I chose Faust! It was my first pick. My second for the month is The Satanic Verses and since I didn‘t have a book for June, Rushdie made it on the bracket, too.

CSeydel Very nice! 1mo
DrSabrinaMoldenReads What are the directions for this? Thanks!! 😊 1mo
GingerAntics What do you mean? You just pick your favourite book each month and add it to your bracket. I have a fiction bracket and a nonfiction bracket. I‘m not sure there are any hard and fast rules. @CSeydel has the black bracket. She‘ll be able to tell you if there are any hand and fast rules. 1mo

CSeydel Hi @DrSabrinaMoldenReads ! The bracket is just a fun way to rank the books you read during the year. Each month you add your favorite book to that month‘s space in the bracket. Then the books on adjacent space “compete” - you decide which one you liked better, and it advances to the next round. There are two wild card spaces in round 2, to even up the matches. No rules, no prizes - whatever criteria you want, it‘s your bracket. 1mo
