I had a really slow reading month for April, but here's my bracket so far.

April wasn't a great month of reading. What I read was just okay, so while I pick Scalzi's “When the Moon Hits Your Eye“ as my top pick for April, it only comes with a so-so approval rating. I am moving it forward over The Black Cat Tail Assassins, but that's only because I felt just so-so about that book too. #bookbracket #2025bookbracket #readingbracket #readingbracket2025

Seeing that this is the only work of fiction I read in April, I guess it gets this month‘s win by default.

Well, I think this is my winner for April. Fascinating, well-written, and a joy to read.

I love how the different bracket setups alter some of the outcomes.

The Instrumentalist | Harriet Constable

Read some good books in March - but The Instrumentalist by Harriet Constable takes top spot for the month. I knew nothing about this book as it was a gift so definitely a nice surprise!

Note: Not my template - off Pinterest.

I've read some fantastic books this year, making it tough to choose a favorite! After much deliberation, my top read for March was Slewfoot by Brom, with Bad Badger by Maryrose Wood as a close runner-up. The decision was just as difficult when looking back at my January and March reads, but once again, Slewfoot claimed the top spot. #bookbracket #bookbracket2025

It‘s no surprise to me that Wild Dark Shore was my March favorite. I had to add the Shadow and Bone trilogy as my first Wild Card though. Yes I‘m counting the whole trilogy as one complete work. 🙂📚 Cuz I can.
