Feeling like Habesha food for dinner tonight! 😋 I tend to get stuck in a rut and make the same dishes, so I‘m looking for inspiration.

I‘m surprised by how much I read this week. One book went into #hibernation but the rest were all enjoyable. I really enjoyed my YA #SFF and my IRL bookclub book (The Lost Shtetl). The Mercies was a well written HF and I look forward to discussing with the #LiteraryCrew
Next week I hope to focus on #ReadingAfrica22 - I‘ve started the memoir by #Ethiopian born chef, Marcus Samuelsson and it‘s quite good. I think my weakest read was the romance😒
My last recipes from #Ethiopia - Curcuma vegetables, spicy Tomato Salad and Banana Mash. Especially like the last one 😁
Now I'm ready to travel further to #Israel 👍

Just before we are leaving #Ethiopia and moving to #Israel I thought I‘d recommend this Israeli Tv series that combines a little bit of both. Nevsu (means soul in Amharic) is an Israeli sitcom about a mixed family of Ethiopian Jews and Ashkenazi Jews, as they navigate through prejudices and clash of cultures. The series won the international Emmy, it is partly in Hebrew and partly in Amharic but there are subtitles too :) enjoy! #foodandlit
Breakfast from #Ethiopia this morning 😋 Can't believe we're soon about to travel further. I still got one recipe left for Sunday 😁

Watching the Ethiopian movie Ephraim And The Lamb while enjoying Ethiopian Egg Rolls with Mustard Lentil Salad. Both from the famous cookbook #Ethiopia by Yohanis Gebreyesus 😋

After seeing how I‘m so focused on Ethiopia in the past month, my husband surprised me and made us this lovely Ethiopian red lentils dish with a fresh injera! ❤️ #ethiopia #foodandlit
