Today's non reading activity!!! My 4th hair donation, 3rd to Children With Hair Loss, and my daughter is ready to donate on her next haircut!!
We stopped by the library.
Last night, my nephews gave me a beautiful card and this necklace to cheer me up. 💙 They loved my grandmother and she would have loved this necklace! We could have shared it! 🤣
4⭐️ This books are just so much fun. This early chapter book revolves around Louie and his brother Ralphie. There is a poetry contest happening at schools and the boys are determined to enter and win. But Louie gets distracted when his friend Chuck wants help wooing the cute bunny Fluffy. A great book for beginners, but still an enjoyable read for seasoned vets.

Started this 2012 backlist about a woman who decided to do one good deed a day for a year starting on her birthday. This is a compilation of her daily blog posts and while I liked the idea, the execution comes off as really lame. This is a privileged white woman whose bar as to what constitutes a good deed is set pretty low. No indication of deep thought or change. I can‘t believe she got a book deal/published 😒
“Rainbow Crow” is a Lenape legend retold by Nancy Van Laan and beautifully illustrated by Beatriz Vidal. The setting of this story is within a magnificent forest where all creatures big and small call home. It seemed almost perfect until a blizzard occurred, making it almost unbearable. After several cold days a remarkable Rainbow Crow arrives, and praises the Great Spirit with a song. His beautiful melody earns him the gift of Fire.
