#springskies ( I am waiting for them!) #twins
My sister gifted me this book, her book club read. Sounds fascinating. I have a brother & sister who are twins- although not identical they have a special bond & look out for each other always.

This was a fun book filled with stories from people all over the country about grammar. The Grammar Table is such a unique idea, one that connects many people in so many different ways. This book had me laughing out loud or groaning at the personal stories people shared and listening to the audiobook—which is narrated by the author—made the stories better. 4/5🌟

Basics of Biblical Hebrew Workbook: Third Edition | Gary D Pratico, Miles V Van Pelt

I‘ve been absent for a long time… this has been what has pulled me. I‘m attempting to learn Hebrew!
I‘ve been in a different place since I had surgery again this past November. Cancer has been difficult to battle and my latest chemo treatment has been by far the worst. So distracting myself with something complicated has been good for me. I miss everyone and this community so I‘m going to try to get to being active again, 💕📚💕

SamAnne Wishing you a strong recovery. Cancer is a life changer. I‘m in remission after surgery/radiation but declined chemo for time being to soak in a year of travel and living life to the fullest against doctor advice. New scans next month when I return from Mexico! Good for you learning Hebrew! I plan tackle Spanish in 2024 to keep positive thoughts about returning to Mexico in 2025, I suspect Hebrew is a bit more challenging. 😳😁 3mo

The Big Book of Irony | Jon Winokur

Panpan

I still don‘t understand. It still sounds like sarcasm to me. Examples didn‘t help. A few examples were amusing, but still didn‘t help. It started with explanations of the different types of irony, then a history of irony. There were various examples of authors using irony, irony in pop culture. At least it was fast to read. I liked that there were a number of Canadian examples. But I still don‘t “get” it. I‘m probably more confused than ever.

Happy Jólabókaflód part 2!

Here‘re the family‘s treats…

Bugga is really excited about all holidays and we found some extra books to help him (and us all) with understanding ☺️

LeCarre for husband, bada$$ for little sister, Harvest for big sister, and Episode 13 for me.

Also, yes, chocolate abounds. ☺️

Avanders @mabell I agree! It is so cool how much he‘s into holidays this year… he was also aware of Human Rights Day (he kept saying Happy Human Day) and Winter Solstice (Happy Winter Day ;)) Hope you had a Merry Christmas!! ♥️🎄😘 4mo

It‘s these indefinite and definite articles that are throwing me and that I always miss on duo lingo! Ok, now I have the rules. Even Spanish with its masculine and feminine nouns was easier than this! 🧐

julesG Have you tried MemRise to learn languages? 11mo
Texreader @julesG I haven‘t heard of it. An app? 11mo
julesG Yes. It's an app. And so far it's free 11mo

I‘ve been using the app duo lingo to learn Italian but it doesn‘t provide explanations for some basics so I bought this book today. I‘m going to see what I can squeeze in before flying out on Tuesday

Amiable I‘ve been working my way through German and Swedish on Duolingo. I also dislike that there are no explanations about grammar rules. I ended up signing up for an online German class through a local language school. 11mo
