I had books 3 & 4 on my list of books to finish in 2020 because I thought the series stopped there, so imagine my surprise when a 5th book showed up in Hoopla! More adventures of DI Archie LeBlanc, a badger, in this anthropomorphic alt-history with a few steampunk tendencies. Humans are looked down on, even called doughfaces. 🤣 I love his assistant Roderick Ratzi. I'm amused when the face & hands are their designated animal, but their bodies⬇️

Incredibly fascinating. Talbot is such an intelligent writer. Re-reads of his works of art are so rewarding.
Absolutely stunning set of panels that reminded me of a room in the Tate Modern with Richter's paintings.
It's sad that I can't capture the entire extent of this breath taking panel so this will have to do. Such a beautiful tribute to Caillebotte. Also love that the next panel mentions that something is a myth- like Atlantis and the GIANT RAT OF SUMATRA.
