Now that I am finally getting into the book, I‘m loving it. After reading Six of Crows duology last summer, I was in neeed of more, but couldn‘t really get into this trilogy. Now that the show is about out, it‘s now or never. As always the audible is amazing. Disappointing that there is not public lib option in general though. #audible #grisha
pickI finished this trilogy over the Christmas holiday and I‘m pleasantly surprised by how it turned out. The second book is quite slow and I found it hard to connect with the characters until about the 3/4 mark. Ruin and Rising was much better though. While that entire book was good the ending and epilogue were absolutely INCREDIBLE! I‘d give the entire series four stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

pickI really enjoyed this book. I loved Leigh Bardugo‘s Six of Crows books, so it felt fantastic to be able to reenter the world of the Grisha. Just like in her other books the world building and magic system is stunning. I can‘t wait to read her other books!

so-soYes I love the characters and the world! But coming straight from the Six of Crows duology, it was a bit jarring to have everyone so spread out in the story. One storyline would get intense and then CUT TO this other person across the map doing something totally different and not at the same level of intensity. I miss everyone staying together and challenging one another. I hope the next book ties up all of these loose ends! #ya #fantasy #grisha

I‘ve officially climbed out of this pit of emotions this has kept me in the past couple days as I finished. It addressed racism, emotional abuse, grief, sexual assault and so much more. And in such a manageable way which helps the reader to really think about and connect with these characters. Jesper and Inej still remain my favorites!!!
