Loved ScoobyDo as a kid. Great book for kids. Easy to read with great illustration. Will bring a laugh or two. Another Book for Roland for Easter

Beautiful simply beautiful. Gorgeous artwork. This is the story of Mary Shelley, her family and how she came to write “Frankenstein“. A must read for horror classic fan of any age.

So far this one was the best in the series. In this volume, there's a new girl in school named Natasha and of course Olive tries to befriend her but Nat is definitely not a nice girl towards Olive. This story is perfect for kids who have to deal with bullies in their life and also bullies should read this as well. The art is wonderful and I love all of the characters.

Anybody else read children‘s books when needing a pallet cleanser. I picked up a couple children‘s books last year as a way to catch up on my reading goal, but I realize that it help with my reading slumps as well. It‘s also been a challenge as I look specifically for books with a Gothic theme and some of the ones I found have been so fun. Boris and Bella was definitely my favorite out of the three, but they were all good.

PatriciaU If you like spooky, try Lora Senf‘s The Clackity and others. So good! Also, Katherine Ardens Small Spaces books are great! 1w
MariaW I went through the whole Bunnicula series in a rather stressful period last year. 1w

With a title like this I thought the book would be about ghosts not monsters. I am also not a fan of body horror having worked in hospitals broken bones and blood do nothing for me. Check the trigger warnings on this one.

4.5 ⭐This book is adorable. It‘s about a ghost who instead of being a sheet is a quilt. It makes him move slower, makes them heavier, but it also makes them much cozier to the little girl that picks them up. There‘s another book in this series and I‘m looking forward to it. And the artwork while not completely black and white uses color sparingly so that way our quilt stands out. This book was a top read from first page to last.

TheLudicReader This author lives in my hometown. Her debut novel The Town That Drowned is excellent. She is an accomplished quilter, too. 3w
LibrarianRyan Nice!! I‘ll check that out. 3w

12 year old Lora feels like all her friends are growing up and are ready to embrace the next stage while she wants to do all the things they used to do. So she throws a magical tea party with her stuffed animals and a ghost appears.

A book about growing up and accepting that life changes

LoverOfLearning Adore this cover! 1mo
