A cute cozy fantasy about a witch who works in a bookshop and who must undergo a month of heavy training to retake trials to retain her magic. It‘s got fun characters, some you love, some you love to hate. While not written with quite the same skill, if you like Sangu Mandanna‘s books, it‘s worth trying this one. Loved the audiobook narrator.
Will there be a #hauntedhollowswap this year, @wanderinglynn?
My niece absolutely loves this series 🥰

This was a sweet little rom-com, with maybe a little more depth than the usual. Lots of family angst and trauma gave the characters a lot of depth, and their relationships rang true. Well-written, which makes all the difference with this kind of story, and I found it really engaging. Could have used more background information on the world, but a very good read all in all. Coal is just a million anxieties in a trenchcoat and I‘m here for it.
Two bingos, not bad. But how did a I read an English domestic classic and not fill the teacup/teapot square? There's a weirdie every month...
