A good installment in the Falco series set in Ancient Rome. In this one, Falco travels to Germania on an imperial mission and has a number of (mis)adventures along the way.

I‘m really enjoying this series, and The Red Queen was a strong read. I didn‘t like Margaret Beaufort—she often mistook devotion for ambition and would do anything for power. The constant fighting between cousins still amazes me, and the battle scenes were brutal. Overall, it was an amazing book and an easy 5-star read.
There's a lot to like about this historical mystery, though I found Sarah a bit too inclined to judge, and overall it was a bit darker and more filled with trauma than I usually find enjoyable.
CN: misogyny, homophobia, rape, violence, medical trauma, forced institutionalisation, forced sterilisation, probably more that aren't springing to mind.

Although a little slow in the beginning, this is a clever mystery with a huge twist - I was totally duped! #10BeforetheEnd

“There was nothing she valued more than a cool and clear head, and Michael had managed to steal that from her with a single kiss.”

Reading the tagged book,an easy read, with my buddies 🐾.I have resorted to caffeinated coke in an effort to keep myself up for tonight‘s UConn v Michigan Women‘s basketball game.🏀 Happy Friday evening everyone!

These were light, fun, a little spicy historical romances. Perfect for when I could focus but wanted to read and everything will work out in the end.
