Definitely the tagged book at 1811! Not my favorite Austen, but it was also my introduction to her work so I‘m glad I read it! 💛
#SundayFunday Don‘t forget Daylight Savings if you live in the US, and remember to tag me in your posts!
This might be controversial but I had to read this for Literature and it was the only book in my high school career that I just couldn‘t do… I just didn‘t like it at all.
Made it halfway and gave up.
I absolutely adore Ang Lee‘s 1995 adaptation with Emma Thompson, Kate Winslet, Hugh Grant & Alan Rickman tho…

1. I hope to take a long walk every day with the pups, to continue cleaning and decluttering my house, to organize my #LitsyLove stuff and get caught up with my pen pal letters, and to practice gratitude each day.
2. The I-don't-know-what-in-the-hell-is-going-on book THE BROTHERS KARAMAZOV, SENSE AND SENSIBILITY, and THE HOUSE AT RIVERTON.
3. introverted, sassy (how I'm feeling today anyway!)

1. Having both of them at my wedding to Matt on Lake Huron in 1997. Both are gone now, and what wouldn't I give to just spend one more hour with them. 💜
2. Someone you could rely on, laugh with, and not get too pissed off at. 😃
3. Tagged: SENSE AND SENSIBILITY.

I must admit this is the first Jane Austen book I‘ve ever read. I did enjoy it, though I do wish smacking some of these men over the head with a large book was possible. #AuthoraMonth
How have I lived this long without Jane Austen in my life? Another delightful read.
I don‘t know how it‘s possible, but I love it more every time I read it.
Thank you for leading the read along @BarkingMadRun ❤️
First finish of #FabulousFebruary - I couldn‘t resist finishing when the chapter for the day ended with the sudden arrival of Willoughby! Not my favorite Austen, but still very good, and only slightly confused by reading Wuthering Heights and a book of essays about Austen and her various works, and watching the BBC Pride and Prejudice all at the same time. 😆 Thanks to @BarkingMadRun for hosting! #PemberLittens
In general I like Colonel Brandon (I find Edward Ferrars something of a dishrag, so Brandon is definitely preferable), but this is decidedly creepy. This 35-year-old man comes over every day to stare at a seventeen-year-old twit? Not cool, Brando. Not cool.

I have decided to join in on the #pemberlittens reread of Sense and Sensibility. My edition, although not outwardly pretty, is beautiful inside with illustrations, essays, and a lot of helpful info about Jane‘s world. I‘m going to read the chapter a day along with the group but also read the extras in my edition. @BarkingMadRun
Sense & Sensibility has always been my favorite Austen movie adaption (Emma Thompson, amiright?) but this is the first time I‘ve read the book. I think it might be even better than the movie! The surprising funny moments, Eleanor‘s long suffering eyerolls, and Marianne as her foil. It‘s such a wonderful book.
Do any of my fellow #Pemberlittens sew? I found this pretty dress pattern and there is even an option for a step by step online class. I‘m going to go for it! If I ever go to Austenland, I‘ll be ready. Anyone want to join me? We could post progress and help each other out along the way.

This was my 3rd time reading this, but the last time was 9 yrs ago. I found myself caught up in the story even though I know the characters and the plot so well. Austen's writing never fails to pull me in completely. I‘ve always loved the sisters‘ relationship because my own sister and I are also very different, but love each other so much.
“Elinor agreed to it all, for she did not think he deserved the
compliment of rational opposition.”
Finished 1 book (in one day!) and working on the other two for #ReadYourSign #24B4Monday has really helped me move along last weekend. July is just around the corner.
Thus us a reread, so I decided to do an audio this time. I think I appreciated it more now than when I did years ago. The horribleness of certain characters stands out so much more, the flaws of others as well. I'm pretty sure I could not have been so polite as Elinor when dealing with some of them. Overall enjoyable. #pemberlittens
