Let's Pretend This Never Happened | Jenny Lawson

Getting my entry for #itsgottagogiveaway in just under the wire!

My favorite author discovered last year would have to be Jenny Lawson. Her humorous take on mental illness and dysfunctional family life immediately won me over, and made me a fan for life. The tagged book was the first I read, and I can't recommend it highly enough.

NOS4A2 | Joe Hill

I listened to NOS4A2 as I drove to and from work, and discovered the dual joys of Joe Hill as an author and Kate Mulgrew as a reader. I love scary, and Joe Hill does scary every bit as well as his dad, the King. It was the beginning of reading several of Hill's books, all because of Listy.

Dolly @Scurvygirl I just happened across your posts and being the nosey sort I thought I would add my 2cents. I‘m from Massachusetts and we have a town called Haverhill, we pronounce it “haver-ul” rhymes with “favor dull” 7y

Scurvygirl @Dolly I grew up in Massachusetts and had a history teacher from Haverhill. I knew that it was where Archie comics is from and the correct way to say it is Hav- long a -rill like gill. 7y
