I'm listening to Linda Castillo's Kate Burkholder Series in order this year because somehow I missed some. I enjoy this series, and even though this is only the 4th book, Kate has grown so much since the first one. She is definitely a bad ass and so much harder on herself than others are. Book 4 looks at missing teenage Amish girls on Rumspringa. Kate is asked to help BCI by Tomasetti. He thinks that with her background, she'll ⬇️

MonicaLoves2Read l be able to see things they may be missing. It's not long before one of her own Amish citizens goes missing. There's also a little romance between her Tomasetti, as always. Castillo continues to develop their relationship in a slow, methodical way that I like. Grab Gone Missing, a cup of tea, and enjoy a few hours with Kate Burkholder and Planters Mill.

An Amish man tied to a stake and burning is a case no one in Painter's Mill ever expected to be in their area. Chief Kate Burkholder is puzzled by this crime, especially since she grew up Amish. When she starts investigating.she ends up with more questions than answers.

I enjoy this series. Castillo has developed all the characters so well. I always feel like I am visiting old friends when I read a new book by her. ⬇️

MonicaLoves2Read She grabs the reader at the first pages and doesn't let go until the end. I always fly through the Kate Burkholder books. Kate is a complicated person that has dealt with a lot of things throughout this series, but still survives. The Kate Burkholder is a suspense series that always has a little clean romance sprinkled throughout.

If you enjoy suspense, thrillers, or police procedurals and haven't read this series, you should give it a try. It can be read as a standalone, but I think you would enjoy them all.

In the 16 books of the #KateBurkholderSeries, this marks my first time listening on audio! And just like the physical books, I couldn‘t tear myself away. The fiery and horrifying murder of Milan Swanz lies at the center of this plot. The more Kate learns about him, the more people seem to have a motive for his murder. When the case turns personal, once more she‘s thrust into danger. Fast-paced but the ending wasn‘t as satisfying as I expected!

This is another of my favorite series. These are crime thrillers set in Amish country in Ohio. Outsider just published July 2020 is the 19th book in the series.

Bluebird I put it near the top of my list...but I‘m trying to catch up on some of the other mystery series I am reading. Too many books....far too little time!😭 5y

TheAromaofBooks I love this series!! I just got the latest one from the library this week!! I'm only about an hour or so away from where the stories are set, and since we have our own Amish community here as well I appreciate the way that Castillo writes about them. 5y
