pickI read this for the first time about 6 years ago, and I loved it just as much now as I did then.
While I don‘t agree with the way Mr Rochester conducts himself at times, no-one who reads this can deny the love between him and Jane. And Jane is an excellent heroine, narrating her tale to us, the dear reader.
I‘m glad I decided to re-read this for #ThatsClassic

Heideschrampf To me the secret of it‘s greatness is not the romantic hero but the kick-ass heroine! She doesn‘t put up with his shit. True love may be one thing, but not at any price. I love her strength and his eventual willingness to admit his faults. I just try not to think about the fact that he imprisoned his first wife... 3y
