Day 9 of the #RiotGrams Challenge: Native and Indigenous Reads
Read this recently and it was excellent. The author shares a legend that has been passed down for generations. Two elderly women are abandoned by their tribe during a famine in the midst of a frigid Alaskan winter. Their survival story is moving and inspiring.

I bought these recently and can't wait to read them. Both come highly recommended and look at those covers! 😍 #nativeandindigenousreads #riotgrams #AusLit #Australia
A novel about the stories we pass down and the the way in which they build our world(view). Also about the Indian Removal Act and the intersection of the black and native experience. Fantastically well researched and well written and a great choice for Indigenous Peoples' Day...but there is clearly a gap in my reading life, I need more #nativeandindigenousreads...I'm looking forward to scrolling the tag and stacking! #riotgrams
