QOTD: Honey and Reeves‘s famed show was named “More Than A Memory”, if you had your own show, what would it be called?

Mine would be something like “How Unique” or something weird, 🤣

Mine was definitely California Dreams, still watch clips/episodes on YouTube!

Tell me yours in the comments!

Pickpick

The introduction starts out highlighting some of the difficulties of translating Gorter, like his penchant for making changes to a lot of words in his own language which are hard to carry over into English.

While the longer ones were beyond me most of the time (I couldn‘t get into them), Haft was able to capture the beauty of Gorter in the smaller ones perfectly:

Like the glance
of a star
on a lake:
her dance.

Question of the Day: Where should we go from here? #QotD

I did an entire month of daily bookish questions. Did you enjoy them? Do you want them to continue? Would you prefer something on a weekly schedule instead? Do you want to suggest questions for the series?⁣

I'm open to your feedback. Let me know.⁣

Question of the Day: What's the worst book you've ever read? #QotD

BookishMarginalia Hands down, without question. I was forced to read it for a lit class in college. I think I even had to write about it. 🤢 3y
BookBr Probably The Origin of the Species by Nino Ricci — I found the characters so utterly odious I didn‘t even make it through a quarter of it… 3y
BookDragonNotWorm The Last Girl - can't remember the author. The first half was really good, centered around a plane crash, but the second half 🦨. So bad 3y
kathytrithardt Hahahah @BookDragonNotWorm I love the skunk emoji. I don't think I have that one on my phone. 3y
Tera66 A vampire romance called Strawberry 🍓, I listened to it and the narration made it worse😄 3y
