I just finished this book. This was actually the first time reading this book. It came out in 99, so I had probably moved away from her books by then. I know I had started reading Tolkien in 99, thanks to my stepdad. I enjoyed reading this book. I felt the topics in the book was with the time period at the time. I rated this book a 3 out of 5 stars.

This young scholar is head over heels with this author. Young love has a lasting effect on middle schoolers and it‘s interesting to see their relationships unfold.

I don't know how I've never seen this tag before. The above is from my review, when I read this 5 years ago.

It's Autism Awareness Month and I'm happy to say there are so many good choices to fit this category! I chose a classic story of a girl growing up with her brother who is on the spectrum. #middlegrademonday

Daisey I haven‘t seen your hashtag before, but I think it‘s a great idea. I‘ll try to peruse my shelves and come up with a post for today. 4w
Karisimo @Daisey thanks!! It‘s been a while since I‘ve posted a prompt! 4w

This is the story of Rowan, told through letters he has written & sent off with balloons to the sky. He writes about his struggles with school & family, trying to figure out how to be himself when everyone around him expects him to be the same Ellie. Such an emotional, relatable story about middle school social dynamics, the balance between trying to fit in & making true friends. Set in the 90s so plenty of nostalgia for all us younger millennials

peanutnine #MiddleGradeMarch @sblbooks #Roll100 @PuddleJumper I finished this last week but it also would be a great read for the #TransRightsReadathon 1mo

Here‘s my review for a book I just DNF‘d. I‘m going to count this for #bookspinbingo as a DNF. This is the 6th book on my #bookspin list. I‘m disappointed because this book sounded really fun and interesting. When I read a book, I like to be pulled into the story. I want to care about the characters and what‘s going on in the story. If that doesn‘t happen when I‘m reading a book then I‘m more likely to DNF.

Both these books were 5 🌟 they were very different, but both made me cry. I now get the obsession with the Throne of Glass series!!! Lorcan and Elide ❤️
