There are pages full of resources like tenent laws by state, federal laws and regulations as well as some great info like house hunting and what to look for and I wish this was something I had when I looked at my first apt.

After reading the first few chapters, the "Emotional Resetting" started to feel idk odd? I couldn't understand why Mercury is apologizing for different things so it read odd for me but all in all, a solid book.

Mercury Stardust is the Trans Handy Ma‘am on social media. Her DIY videos started showing up in my YouTube feed a few months ago. While I‘m not a renter, this books has helpful information in it for all. I like her message of “You‘re worth the time it takes to learn a new skill.”

Finished February 16, 2025.

TheBookHippie I like her so much. 8mo

Reggie I‘ve never heard of her before. Thanks for putting her on my radar. 8mo

That was so much fun. Perhaps heavier on the inspiration/demonstration of final products than instructions but it's because a few simple methods can be applied in so many creative ways, and this author is particularly creative! I think I want to own this just as an art object.

TheBookHippie What a fun book! I love everything! 2y

Again: This has gone past mending, this is officially art. 👌🏻

Texreader I‘m enjoying your posts tonight!! 2y
Robotswithpersonality @Texreader Thanks! Was a little worried about spamming people's feeds, but I keep finding goodies! 😄 2y
julesG Following your mending posts with interest. I have got to read a few more books on the topic. 2y
Robotswithpersonality @julesG I'm just so glad they're out there. Most of these were English translations in the last few years of books only published within the last five! 2y

Crocheted patches. CROCHETED PATCHES! I'm a heck of a lot better at crochet than I am at mending, WHY did this not occur to me?! Okay, so they're bulky and should probably only be used in heavier fabric circumstances but STILL! 🤦🏼‍♂️

TheBookHippie Ohmyword. Perfection. 2y
Texreader Love this!!! 2y
julesG Or make the patches out of thread with a teeny tiny crochet hook? For more delicate mending. 2y

It's a pocket just big enough for a single piece of candy. 🍬
Dammit, that is SO CUTE. And it's functional, covering up a stain!

At this point I think we call it fibre sculpture. 😲

I adore how simple and useful this is, and how bonkers it looks at first glance. MMM, yarn spaghetti.

Larkken Your posts are reminding me of how insta reels of people mending are one of my favorite things 🧵😍 2y
Robotswithpersonality @Larkken Yes! I think that's how I first heard about visible mending. 2y
