I love this edgy '80s album. It has an End Times vibe.

There are a few interesting snippets of Townshend‘s life in this 516 behemoth, but mostly what I got out of it was that he was a serial adulterer who “fell in love” with any woman who batted her eyelids at him, and he wants to remind us that he was the songwriter so he was always the richest member of the band. I guess I‘m #TeamRoger

Interesting. More detailed & thorough than I expected. At times a but too detailed as a lot of it was the same, but it was interesting to get such a deep insight into this legend‘s life. It ended up being shorter than I thought since about 40% of the book is the acknowledgments, end notes, bibliography, etc.

Bookwomble @Leftcoastzen M:FANS is pretty dark. I love his perversity, though, in leaving the Velvet Underground as he said Lou was taking it too mainstream, and then his first solo album, Vintage Violence, is such a perfect pop album. Maybe slip that one on? 😊 3mo
