It‘s amazing the power of hearing that you‘re not alone in your sense of drowning. Life is still a struggle, but Davis‘ words have given me hope, courage, and even skills to help work my way through it. The practical advice provided is actual advice that can help with setting priorities, getting through life tasks that can be or seem overwhelming, and realizing/accepting that you are not a failure for not maintaining an Insta worthy environment.

Can somebody help me pretty please? I‘ve been keeping track of my reading time every day for #HauntedShelf but I know there‘s a bunch of readathons going on and want to claim points for that. Is there a master list of all the readathons going on? Any help would be greatly appreciated! 🤗

ShananigansReads There was one circulating before the start of October. I‘m not sure if it‘s being updated but I‘ll try to find the Google link for you. 3w
JenlovesJT47 @ShananigansReads thank you so much! 🤗 3w
robinb Do you follow @LitsyEvents? They do a great job of keeping up with what‘s going on. 😊 3w
JenlovesJT47 @robinb I do, thank you! 🤗 3w

A late update to my #ReadingBracket2024
I only finished one nonfiction book in September. It was a quick yet encouraging listen

Listened to the audiobook. LOVED this - so many helpful tips and the accessibility of highlighting main points was great. Care tasks = morally neutral.

Thank you for the #WhatsNewWednesday tag @TheSpineView 🤗 I‘m a little late, but that‘s okay.

What‘s new this week is that I‘m in a senior leader pre-conference session before an all day HR conference tomorrow. Whoo-hoo, I‘m just that exciting! 😉😆

Our gift bag today included a book from the keynote speaker tomorrow. It‘s not in the Litsy database so I tagged one that is. It also had tea, candy & a cool cork & resin coaster so there‘s that…

We gave out copies of books our late friend loved at his memorial, and I picked this one. Introduced by Aldous Huxley and written by his wife, this unconventional 1963 self-help book contains a series of “recipes,” embodied psychological practices to aid in living life well. I trust, although the title recipe is a bit dated, these recipes can make a difference, but they‘re so involved and wacky that I would only use them in a crisis, to be honest!

I‘m obsessed with therapy content. I love the Showtime series Couples Therapy and the book Good Morning, Monster. When I saw this book, I knew I‘d be reading it. It delivered, but wasn‘t nearly as emotionally compelling as Monster. This one takes a more lighthearted approach, though difficult topics are explored. Fletcher writes himself into the book, letting readers know how HE feels, which I appreciated. Also, great audio.

BarbaraBB Have you read Irvin D Yalom‘s books? They‘re mostly about therapy and I loved each one of them, for example 2mo
Chelsea.Poole @BarbaraBB I haven‘t, thanks for the recommendation! I‘m going to add them to my list. 2mo
