A short story about what happens when 16 year old Geraldine discovers she is pregnant. The available options in the 60s. Choices. Decisions. Moving on. Coming full circle. Short. Intense. Incredible character development for such a short story!

Have a lovely week! 💚💙💚
Found this little free library next to the monastary Mariastein in Switzerland. Actually there has been a lot of theological literature in it. Unfortunately, that‘s nothing for me. 🙈
I‘ve had All The Birds In The Sky sitting on my bookshelf for years, waiting to be read - but of course this ends up being my first CJA. A delightful short read, follows Marisol, who survived the apocalypse accidentally (she was cleaning a rich guys house at the time and found the panic room) as she ventures outside after many years to find herself all alone… in a devastated world with a genie lamp. Her approach to setting things right is unique.
Well, this lil dally into horror was a bit of a fail. Interesting premise that took too much of a walk to get to, then crash ending that was bewildering. Maybe if you‘re into Lovecraft you‘ll get more from this?
Just finished listening to this 2 hour audiobook on Libby . It‘s a prequel to the Finley Donovan cozy mystery series. It‘s fun to meet Vero before she became the nanny for Finley‘s kids. It was maybe a bit too short and not as funny as the longer books. Still enjoyed it but would only recommend it to fans of the series.
I wasn‘t really sure how to rate this. Like some of the other reviewers, I too feel like it was too short. The narration felt a little less polished than I would‘ve preferred. That said, it was a feel good quick story to listen to while I was prepping dinner tonight, so I‘m giving it a soft pick. #romantsy
