He very slowly makes friends with Martin, a coworker with a very austere lifestyle who keeps to a very strict routine. When that routine is interrupted by illness Arthur poses as Martin's boyfriend as he has nobody else. He makes some surprising discoveries about Martin's life outside the Agency. Could the lie become reality?

Loved this one. Five years have passed since the end of book one and this one. Hoffman took me through all the emotions in a beautiful way. The characters and relationships are wonderful.

A story of family, finding your way back to each other, finding yourself, finding your place and hope. Hoffman writes beautifully and even in a short story creates well developed characters and a wonderful setting.
