pick897 pages later, and I am a better person for it. Masterful, brilliant, heart wrenching, full of anger and sadness and wit and humor. I absolutely loved it. And yep, I know this much is true 😉
(Side note: Wally Lamb lists Mrs. Piggle Wiggle as the first book he read that inspired his writing life. I LOVED Mrs. PW 😊♥️).

•This author‘s books are either a hit for me or a near miss…this one falls into the latter. Despite wanting to, I never connected with the characters or the story. I‘m willing to admit it might be a me thing.
•Christine Lakin‘s narration was decent.
“We could fill the f****** ocean with the things we never said to each other... Now that ocean was so deep and wide that I couldn't even begin to make sense of it.”

This started strongly with a compelling look at mental illness and the bond between twin brothers. However, the relentless misfortunes made the narrative feel forced and overly dramatic. An okay read overall.
