This started strongly with a compelling look at mental illness and the bond between twin brothers. However, the relentless misfortunes made the narrative feel forced and overly dramatic. An okay read overall.

I have eight #River books on my Kindle. I just finished & LOVED Frozen River & read Follow the River Home several years ago. The the others are still in my TBR. 🏞️

I know this was a popular book but it was not to my liking. I normally enjoy psychological insight within a novel but this book felt more like the day to day ramblings and procrastination of a brother who chose to be misguided and utilized his brother as a source of blame. Not for me.
Delightful middle grade Hanukkah and Christmas book about identical twin girls who were adopted by different families and then happened to find each other.
“That was the way of grief, I was realizing. It was a barrage of pain that was so unbearable that it made you numb. And then out of nowhere, something made you feel again and the cycle started over from the beginning.” Truth 💯
This book is so beautifully written! I can visualize the woods, owls, rain, everything! This author is becoming a favorite ❤️

I tried tea again and it tastes like perfume 😩😣 🫖
This was an interesting mystery-turned-whodunnit tangled web of an abandoned friends group from 20 years prior. I was nearing the end before I considered this author‘s magical elements were left out of the story. Then I had to laugh realizing I didn‘t consider the MC getting little clues from her deceased twin as a magical element.
