Kit leaves a lasting impression on Jackson when she swindles him out of a coin, & when their paths cross again during a missing person‘s case he‘s working, sparks fly.
It got oddly religious at times which caught me off guard. Overall, not bad, some of it was a bit of a reach.

I love to match music and bookmark to the current readings ❤

This story takes you on a journey through the streets of London during Victorian times. From ball rooms to prison cells, back alleys to grand avenues you get a feel for the time period. The suspense through-out kept you turning the page to find out what happened next. I would definitely recommend this book.

Such an intriguing story in the underbelly of 1885 London! I totally enjoyed her newest offering that has more mystery and suspense than her previous books. I loved the complex plot with its twists and turns that had me guessing at who the villain might be. There are many moments of wisdom and spiritual truths that dot the pages. Fun fact: the province of Alberta is named after her (her full name was Louise Caroline Alberta) as is Lake Louise. It's a very clever book, beautifully written!
I didn't get the point immediatly, but in the end everything is clear and it's impressive and even terrifying at the same time.
