I had to stay home with a sick kid who doesn't want to be read too until too late at night to postpone bedtime. My kids at school are watching a #worldreadaloudday video with a substitute.

HAPPY #worldreadaloudday #WCCPBA
I will be reading Crossings and Eyes that kiss at the corners to my students today. I read aloud almost every day.
Happy #worldreadaloudday! I mean, every day is a read aloud day when you‘re a children‘s librarian, but it never stops being a joy. Plus I got to have storytime and outreach visits with the local elementary school today! #raisingreaders #kidlit
Lane was really feeling his age this evening (terrible twos is definitely a real thing) and I was at my wits end by bedtime. But then he wanted to snuggle up and read story after story... so we ended our day on a really nice note. Apparently he was feeling the spirit of World Read Aloud Day! #WorldReadAloudDay
Watch author Jacqueline Woodson read her children's book on World Read Aloud day. You won't regret it.

#worldreadaloudday
Speaking of #worldreadaloudday, I was devastated last night to learn of the passing of Canada's greatest storyteller, Stuart McLean. He showed Canadians that the coasts weren't so far apart, and that the folks in the middle were pretty much like us too. Small towns filled with big-hearted folks were broadcast to my childhood home and continued as I grew a family of my own. Go in peace Stuart. Your spirit will live on in story. #canlit
